In accordance with our sustainable beekeeping practices, we always make sure the bees have enough of their own honey to make it through the winter, and we harvest only the excess honey that the bees don't need. Our honey is harvested through cold extraction, it is never heated or pasteurized, preserving all its nutritional benefits. We also crush our honeycomb and strain the honey, rather than using a centrifuge; this retains more of the honey's unique flavor compared to centrifugal extraction.
Due to an overwhelming response, our limited 2023 harvest was sold out in just over one day, with total proceeds of $450. We committed to donating one third of all proceeds to the Ottawa Food Bank, so we have made a donation of $150. Thanks to all our customers for working with us to make a difference to those in need.

We are currently harvesting and filtering the wax from our honeycomb as we harvest the honey, and we plan to have pure beeswax candles available for sale sometime in 2024.
